Receptionist @ FPC
Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for Full-time Receptionist at Family Practice Clinic.

JOB SUMMARY:
The primary job of the Receptionist is to be of assistance to the practice’s patients. This person is the initial contact with patients when they enter the practice and is there to make the patients’ visit a smooth and hassle-free experience.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Support Corporate mission to provide quality, cost-effective health care in a positive and productive work environment.
2.Adhere to corporate values of respect, quality service, teamwork, simplicity and creativity.
3.Attend all mandatory company in-services.
4.Promote and participate in performance improvement activities.
5.Maintain and update job description.
6.Comply with all applicable state and federal laws by conducting job in an ethical manner as outlined by Crittenden Community Hospital procedures and policies and in accordance with the Corporate Compliance Plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Books, coordinates and reschedules patient’s appointments. Relays necessary messages to the staff.
2.Maintains and updates current information on physician’s schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.
3.Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
4.Answers questions regarding patient appointments.
5.Oversees waiting area, coordinate patient movement, reports problems or irregularities.
6.Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
7.Verifies necessary billing information for recording in the medical record and in the practice management system.
8.Make copies of insurance cards.
9.Handout HIPAA forms & financial policies and obtain signatures.
10.Ask patients to complete patient history forms.
11.Send patient to cashier to make payment for visit or sign waiver. Check patient in after payment is made.
12.Attends meetings as required.
13.Have patients sign applicable Medicare forms
14.Copy photo ID’s
15.Hand out patient satisfaction surveys
16.Handle walk in messages for Clinic Secretary
17.Clean work area once a week
18.Works all returned mail
19.Compute end of day Provider visit totals and send email

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION:
Education: High School Graduate.
Experience: Medical Office secretarial or receptionist experience preferred.
Word processing and computer experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work may require hand dexterity for telephone and machine operation. Sitting for extended periods of time.
